It can also develop quietly, long before someone meets criteria for prediabetes or type 2 diabetes. That's why people often feel confused: their labs may look "normal enough," yet their body is sending loud signals — crashes after meals, relentless cravings, stubborn central weight, and fatigue that doesn't match their habits.

The missing conversation: the endocannabinoid system and appetite
There's a system in your body that rarely shows up in mainstream weight-loss conversations: the endocannabinoid system (ECS). The ECS is involved in regulating balance (homeostasis) across multiple areas — stress response, sleep, inflammation, appetite signaling, and more.
